Ferdinando Semboloni, researcher and teacher, Department of town and regional planning, University of Florence.
He is member of the Center for the Study of Complex Dynamics, University of Florence.
He has taught courses of Urban and Regional planning management, Analysis of urban and regional systems, and Urban design in the Faculty of Architecture, Florence.
Currently he teaches Regional planning in the Faculty of Architecture, Florence
His main specialization and expertise rely on the modelling of the urban system dynamics, based on complexity principles. He has applied micro-simulation methods such as cellular automata and multi-agent system, and has developed the CityDev project, a multi-agent interactive urban simulation. He has also studied the generation of power law distribution in cities systems
